CIN 2
On the left is the image of the cervix.  The center image is the baseline OCT or standard normal image taken from a remote area of the cervix.  The right image is the OCT image under investigation (in the 1st quadrant) .  The right image shows CIN 2. In the right image there is no distinction between the epithelium and the stroma. The normal epithelium cannot be identified.  Instead the top part of the image is abnormally bright and the entire image is relatively "patchy" compared to the standard normal image.  Although the image is clearly neither normal nor CIN 1 when compared to the baseline OCT, this image could be confused for CIN 3  because it is lacking a clear structure.  It is clearly not  full blown Cancer because there is some residual structure and there is no vertical streaming.
